I just felt compelled to post something or other, though I can’t say that there is anything specific to report.
Last weekend it was great to have Sandy in town, and my sister Jane is coming out next week. We are all really looking forward to having her here. I don’t have any idea of what to expect from Taxol, the new medication I’ll receive next week, so it will be especially nice to have a helping hand if the new medication hits hard.
It was definitely easier to have just the Adriamycin instead of the Adriamycin-Cytoxan combination this past weekend. And, I didn’t have a white blood cell shot on top of it, so I didn’t ever feel too bad. I was only in bed one day and managed to make it to all the events I was hoping to attend, even if it was for a shortened time. I was able to come to work on Monday and have been working the whole week and talking nice walks around town in the evening.
Dinah and Djuna’s class in school is wrapping up its extensive study of the alphabet — they’ve had a “letter of the week” for ages now, and they’ve thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. I think they can write all the letters now, and they love to write notes. Dinah is also excited about drawing x-rays of animals lately. Of course, her class drew “x-rays” with white chalk on black paper when they studied the letter X.
We are making plans to do something fun with the girls for Mother’s Day. Also, we might even make it out to dinner, just the two of us, using some of the babysitting money we received from a sweet and generous group of workmates.
Life is good.
